Humpback whales, Megaptera novaeangliae, are well known for their long “pectoral” fins, which can be up to 15 feet (4.6 m) in length. The barnacles you see here, Coronula diadema, are only found on humpback whales, although there is speculation that they may also be present on sperm whales and finback whales, Hawaii.
